SELF-CARE, IT'S ONLY FAIR
Self-care is a broad term to fully explain in this post. So I'm just going to jump right in to my own version of self-care, the best that I know for myself...so far (it's still a long way to go; I have yet to do the things I wish to achieve). If you're actually wondering what is this all about and if you need nudging to start acting on your own needs, I suggest you read this self-care guide I stumble upon the net.
I have three key points to share. This mainly entails on my recently discovered or purchased products that I believe will help the parts of my body that need improvements. So here goes nothing.
DRY SCALP, HELP!
I have a dry scalp. Yes. Ever since I could remember, this has been my problem. I change my shampoo every now and then. I went to a salon, once or twice to have a spa treatment, which of course wouldn't really solve my problem since it needs maintenance. I also used spa treatment (the ones you could buy at Watson's) once a week back when I was still single at home, but for some reasons I haven't continued doing so. It's just recently when I realized I really should be doing something to correct it. I have a bout of scalp dryness few weeks earlier & it bothered me so much I became crazy looking for a solution.
That is how I discovered the Dove Dermacare Scalp Anti-Dandruff Soothing Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner. I've read some reviews about these products and they were positive that I immediately bought them to try.
Another favorite of mine is the Beauté Cristaux Gold Elixir Serum. I swear by this product! I use this when I'm lazy to do the steps of the set. This instantly revives my face and gives me the glowing & blushing effect the next day, all day!
If you want to try out these Beautéderrm products, check out this page and contact the admin--BeautéClarté by Beautéderm.
And now, here comes my new discovery. Actually it was my cousin who told me about this. I just blindly tried it and was pleasantly surprised with its effects on my skin! It is the Senka Perfect Whip and it's now my favorite facial cleanser. It is a dense foam formula so a little amount of it could perfectly cover your face. It doesn't dry out your skin, instead it leaves your face smooth and clean.
INNER THIGHS, OOPS!
Now here comes the last part and the most, ahm, awkward part. I don't know, but it's quite a topic no one is comfortable of talking about. It takes guts to open up about it. And here I am willing myself to do it.
I have not got a flawless body. Heck, who does? I also do not have an even skin tone. It's fairly my insecurity that my inner thighs weren't as even as the rest of my body color (gotten worse after I gave birth!). I've been quite jealous of those people, mainly celebrities, who could flaunt their bodies clad in bikinis. I want to be able to do that also! That's why I researched on how to achieve this. And then I came across a vlogger who shared her secret on how she whitened that part of her body. I got excited and bought the product she mentioned and followed her other suggestions. One of which was not to wear underwear while sleeping, or if you can, the whole day! It was uncomfortable in the beginning but I've gotten the hang of it and now I can barely stand wearing one! Haha!
Anyway, back to the product that I bought. It was the A Bonné 2in1 Spa Milk Salt Shower Formula. I've been using it for almost a month now and I can visibly see the results! It really is lightening, I tell you! It's effective and it is also good to use for the rest of your body. It has a nice smell and makes your skin smooth after washing it off. I just love the feeling of my skin after using this product. Make sure to use this twice or thrice a week only.
And now, the last product that I just recently bought--the A Bonné Milk Power Lightening Lotion + Collagen. I figured I could use some aid for the milk salt and it's actually giving me a good results so far. The lotion is light and smells good. It gets absorbed easily by the skin that it doesn't give you the icky feeling after using it. My skin feels moisturized and hydrated!
START YOUR SELF-CARE ROUTINE NOW
So there you have it. I have fully shared to you the products that I use nowadays. They're fairly effective for me and I hope if you ever try to use them, the effect will be the same. They are working so well for me and I intend to use them for a long time. I am still in constant search for other products, though, those that might be better than what I have now.
Also, having a self-care routine just doesn't entirely mean taking care of your physical attributes. It is a whole lot bigger than this. It is about our total well-being--physical, emotional, and mental health. So make sure to tap on those one of these days. This is crucial. After all, we all just want to feel good. Especially in this time of pandemic.
Hope all is well in your end! Keep safe! Put on your masks! Don't go out if it isn't necessary. Take vitamins. Stay hydrated. Be fit!
'Til the next wander and wonder!
Love,
S♥
