A Fleeting Moment Of Normalcy: Go away, Covid!

The past few months had been significantly difficult to all of us. The quarantine era brought about changes in ways we haven't expected and imagined. Being cooped up inside the house for over 7 months without knowing what will happen in the future had scared a lot of us. Our lives were put on hold. How do we move forward from this?

As the days go by, restrictions are now being lifted up. Though all cautionary measures should always be observed, little by little, going out from the hole we were in is something we can look forward to.

Honestly, I can count on my fingers the times I went out during the lockdown. My daughter, Antonia, had gone out only for her vaccine appointments. Being out of the house seems foreign and being frowned upon. However, all those months of anxiety and apprehensions had took a toll on our mental health. My husband, Mark, was having anxiety attacks. He needs to go to work and risking his life to provide for us. This is an ugly period of our lives. But we still make every moment count. We are beyond blessed and grateful that our family is safe. Though we lost a friend and a family member during these times, we just lift everything up to the Lord and pray for our hearts to heal...for the world to heal.

Anyway, to shake off all the worries away, we are taking baby steps to overcome our anxieties. That's why we decided to go out and took a ride to be refreshed and breathe in nature.

We went to Bella Montana Farm. It is located in a high area in Bamban, Tarlac. Though it was raining hard that afternoon, we still pushed through. When we came to the place, the rain had already stopped and we had a brief chance to take nice photos and take in the peace the surroundings had brought us.

We did not have the chance to go inside the farm because we want to be close to the car if ever it rained again. And yes, it drizzled again after taking photos. We just ate the food we brought inside the car.

It was a brief get away but Antonia had fun and we are hopeful once again that bright days will follow and the pandemic will soon be over.
The greens and the skies promises us that.
Let us all be disciplined and cautious when going out. Let us follow all the safety protocols. Do not risk your lives in exchange of momentarily crave of freedom without being too careful. And among other things, let us all will for a Covid-free world in the coming days. Let us utter prayers everyday. And be grateful for all the blessings coming in our way.

Be safe and healthy!

Love,

S♥

P.S. This happened last October 25. It was also the day had her hair cut for the first time ever since she was born. We didn't mingle with other people and maintained social distancing. The area where we were in was almost empty and we were free to roam around without the fear of contact. We were wearing masks also, just took them off while taking pictures. We were inside the car most of the time because it was raining and went home straight after an hour.
